ONG Jade launched an environmental awareness project called "Green Class" from September 27 to October 1, 2018. This project aimed to encourage young people from the town of Toamasina to become aware of environmental issues by inviting them to take part in an educational trip to the village of Andranokoditra and to visit Palmarium park, located 60 km south of Tamatave. The young people also received training to guide them toward creating startups offering solutions to environmental problems in the Atsinanana region. They were introduced to entrepreneurial culture and received training in personal development and in project and business plan creation. The project also fostered exchanges between participants during joint visits and training sessions.
This initiative also aimed to encourage young people to think about sustainable solutions to protect the environment and to consider creating startups in this field. Exchanges between participants were also encouraged, thereby fostering a collaborative approach and collective reflection on environmental issues.
