Viavy Smart 2022

The 4^th edition of Viavy Smart, titled "Viavy mahay Excel", took place from October 24 to November 04, 2022, with the goal of training women in Toamasina in advanced Excel concepts. This training, organized by NGO JADE, aimed to promote the inclusion of women in the ICT sector, where they are less represented than men. Mrs. AIME RASOARIVONY Louisette, a computer science teacher, was the trainer throughout the two weeks of training.

Participants were trained in advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables, charts, macros, etc. The educational objectives of this training were to strengthen participants' Excel skills, make them more autonomous in their daily work, and help them be more effective in their professional tasks.

The results of this training were positive, with 60 young women being certified. The certificate presentation took place in the presence of JADE representatives, participants and the trainer. The ceremony was filmed by two journalists from the local TV channel TV Plus and concluded with a cocktail reception.

In conclusion, Viavy Smart is an important program for the empowerment of women in the ICT field in Toamasina. The "Viavy mahay Excel" training allowed participants to strengthen their skills and acquire advanced Excel knowledge, which will have a positive impact on their daily and professional work. The results of this training are encouraging for promoting the inclusion of women in ICT in Madagascar.
