I am TSARAHASINA Colombia, a student at ISSEDD, the "Higher Institute of Sciences, Environment & Sustainable Development". I have a deep interest in environmental protection and social development. ONG JADE attracted me through its mission of promoting the use of ICT to give young people equitable access to digital resources and through its commitment to raising awareness among city dwellers about environmental issues. I am convinced that JADE shares my values and aspirations, notably its educational mission for the schooling of disadvantaged children in rural areas of the former Province of Toamasina and its promotion of entrepreneurship for young people.
Experience
January 2026–present: Board Member – Advisor
- Provide strategic advice on the NGO's objectives and projects.
- Oversee project implementation and assess their impact on target communities.
- Represent the NGO with partners and develop new partnerships.
January 2023 – January 2024: Project Coordinator of JADE NGO
- Ensure coordination between the programme's teams to achieve shared objectives.
- Manage human resources: recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate volunteers.
- Coordinate partnerships and ensure monitoring and evaluation of the programme.
January 2022 – January 2023: Officer for the Environmental Protection area
- Design the area's project action plans and assign tasks to active members.
- Implement General Assembly decisions and provide project reports.
- Ensure monitoring, evaluation, and resource management (budget, team) for the area.
September 2021: Selected as active member of JADE – Environmental Protection area
- Take part in carrying out project tasks and in collecting data on community needs.
- Take part in awareness campaigns and the promotion of ICT tools.
- Carry out monitoring and evaluation of the NGO's projects.
February 2021: Selected as Friend of JADE
- Take part in meetings, training sessions, and workshops to strengthen their professional skills and gain new knowledge about the NGO's projects
- Assist the mentor with their daily tasks, in particular by carrying out research, drafting reports, or organizing events.
- Carry out monitoring and evaluation by collecting data and preparing reports to help the NGO improve its programs and achieve its goals.
