The Ocean Initiatives Project Ambila-Lemaitso 2023

The Ocean Initiatives Ambila-Lemaitso project, carried out on May 13, 2023 and led by NGO JADE, mobilized more than 80 participants (students, women, fishermen) to clean 400 meters of beach, removing a large quantity of plastic waste. The action, combined with an awareness campaign and an audiovisual screening, aimed to inform the local population about the dangers of plastics for the environment and to encourage responsible behavior. Funded by Freunde Madagaskars e.V., the project received an enthusiastic response, laying the groundwork for broader initiatives to protect Madagascar's beaches.
