Donation of School Furniture to EPP Ambodisaina - 2017

The NGO JADE carried out a donation of school furniture to EPP Ambodisaina in Toamasina II, Atsinanana Region, by a private German donor, from January 25 to March 6, 2017. This action aimed to offer a better quality of education to about 120 students of this rural school who had been without school furniture until then. To achieve these objectives, the NGO discussed with school officials to understand their needs, ordered the pieces from an experienced carpenter in Toamasina, and carried out the delivery in the presence of the competent authorities and representatives of the school and parents.

This action enabled EPP Ambodisaina to receive 40 school desks worth 2,880,000 Ariary or 847.06 €, thus providing a more comfortable learning environment for the students. This initiative is an example of how civil society can help improve the quality of education in rural areas. This campaign also allowed the NGO JADE to strengthen its skills in project management, planning, negotiation, communication and teamwork.
